All VEHICLES MUST PASS A BASIC SAFETY INSPECTION
UCMA Dragstrip General Rules:
Dragstrip rules are to be developed at scheduled Association meetings.
Operation of the Dragstrip facility is to be overseen by a Track Director duly appointed by the UCMA.
The Track Director has the authority to resolve issues not specifically addressed by rule until those issues can be decided at a scheduled Association meeting.
As the UCMA lease on the racetrack facility includes all of the property from the Highway right-of-way fence to the west edge of the asphalt racing surface, and extends to the fences to the north and south, all UCMA activity shall occur within these boundaries only. Exceptions for the purposes of maintenance and grounds keeping shall be allowed at the discretion of the Track Director.
All performance driving shall be executed on the designated 1/8 mile racing surface. Burnouts and “dry-hops” shall be performed south (forward) of the red burnout line. Racing is not permitted past the finish line. No burnouts, dry-hops, or any other performance driving is allowed in the pit areas.
The dragstrip facility may be used for racing purposes Monday through Saturday.
The dragstrip facility may be used for racing purposes beginning at 11:00am and ending at 7:00pm or sundown, whichever occurs first.
The dragstrip facility may be used for the purposes of testing or tuning vehicles, under the following conditions:
All established rules shall be observed.
The driver of any vehicle must be a member in good standing of the UCMA.
The daily fee for track usage, as determined annually by the board of directors, must be paid in advance.
The daily fee for track usage may be split between multiple drivers.
Everyone who enters the facility must sign a participant waiver.
A track official, duly appointed as such by the Association, must be present.
The track official shall conduct the session in the interest of the UCMA, enforcing the rules of the facility, and seeing that no unsafe activity occurs.
The track official conducting the test session may not participate as a crew member or driver during that session.
Failure to abide by established rules may result in any or all of the following actions:
Warning
Ejection from the facility
Loss of track privileges
Revocation of membership
